Resonant influence of small S-shaped particles on the guided mode of a coplanar line

Résumé

Artificial dielectrics prepared as planar grids appear to have potential use and applications at microwaves due to their easy fabrication and their wide range of obtainable properties. Here, we study a grid of metallic S-particles introduced in the design of a coplanar waveguide and demonstrate the resonant influence of the grid to the S-matrix of the coplanar waveguide.
